Here’s the Run the Jewels track for Cyberpunk 2077, which slaps
With its themes of firm oppressiveness, class stratification, and the struggle against the same, IT would be tough for Cyberpunk 2077 to find a better musical partner than Run the Jewels. The Atlanta-supported hip hop supergroup has just born its racecourse "No Save Point," which will appear on the Cyberpunk 2077 official soundtrack.
The track is instantaneously recognisable A RTJ, with sonic synths over a resonating deep swot kick. The lyrics put El-P and Orca Mike right in the cyber-terrorist game's action, and it's not a massive shift from how they envision the present day in RTJ4, which discharged earlier this yr.
"If you got the credits, I'll pull the crime of the century – morals is only a memory when my belly's empty," Elevated railway-P offers. Cause of death Microphone picks up the verse: "The skyscrapers shadow the homeless, the population / the abasement they face, which should be an abomination / their body parts are stolen and sold to the richest patient / and we'atomic number 75 the mercenaries at war with the active agents."
You can listen to the whole track here (be warned, IT contains some NSFW oral communicatio):
Information technology's a disconsolate, driving track that's also a lot of fun – much in holding with the rest of Run away the Jewels' body of work. When Killer Mike breaks the fourth wall, rapping "Keanu Reeves / cyber-branch under my sleeve", information technology's demanding not to grin and ideate tearing around Night City in one of those souped-up retro-future tense Cyberpunk 2077 vehicles.
As Uproxx notes, the Cyberpunk 2077 OST also features contributions from Grimes, A$AP Rocky, Refused, Gazelle Matched, Ilan Rubin, Richard Devine, Nina Kraviz, Deadly Hunta, Rat Boy, and Tina Guo.
The music picture for No Save Full point is set to entry during the Adult Swim festival, November 13 at 20:25 PDT / November 14 at 1:25 EDT / 6:25 GMT.
